This is part 4 of the Community Radio as Direct Action series.
Are the means of mass communication dominated by men? Is a woman’s voice
on radio necessarily a feminist voice? What other questions are brought
up by listening to radio produced by women? In this two-hour workshop, we
will listen to various excerpts of radio programming produced by women in
Montreal. We will reflect on what we hear, and discuss it as a group. We
will have a portable recorder at the workshop, and may continue to
practice basic interview techniques and recording. We will also make time
to plan future activities.
