Urban Permaculture

Posted on June 11th, 2008 · No Comments · Workshop

Mon 16 June :: 6:30->8:00pm @ MUCS rooftop
2000 Northcliffe, #218 (use the side entrance)

Rob Scott, co-founder of the School for Designing a Society in Urbana Illinois, will be presenting a talk on Urban Permaculture Monday the 16th on the rooftop garden at MUCS at 6:30. This will be a short introduction to the philosophy and implementation of urban permaculture design and practices by a certified permaculturalist with several years experience.

Permaculture is a form of agriculture and home design that models its practices after natural systems. Emphasis is placed on sustainability, low maintenance, locally found plants and materials. From water recuperation systems to companion planting, the food security of self-determined people, to small unpretentious do-it-yourself balcony gardens this evening is bound to be inspiring and educational.
