Hoola-hooping workshop & may day celebration

Posted on April 10th, 2008 · No Comments · Workshop

Sat 3 May :: 1:00->3:00pm
Laurier Park, on Laurier between Mentena & Brebeuf (metro Laurier)

I plan to do a demonstration on how to make your own hoop, and I will have some supplies available for sale ($8.00/hoop).

If people want to bring their own supplies, they will need:
- 3/4″ or 1″ pvc tubing (can be found at Reno Depot, or plomberies)
Hoop Height from the ground to somewhere between hips and shoulders
- one 3/4″ or 1″ stopper to ’seal’ the hoop
- tape and/or fabrics/paint/glitter to decorate
(coloured electrical tape, hockey tape, fabrics in 2″-wide strips).

I am also proposing a May Day ceremony in conjunction with the afternoon’s hooping activities, so more ribbons, strips of fabric, crepe paper rolls, etc. would be most welcome and we can decorate the park, too!
