The Geek OUT! is a celebration of the fun things that make us geeks. For an afternoon, you get to: play board games, watch sci-fi movies, do arts and crafts, eat snacks and laugh in the company of other geeks. The next Geek OUT!s is happening on Saturday June 14th at the Montreal Urban Community Sustainment Coop: 2000 Northcliffe, Suite 218 and will go from 2pm onwards. It’s a potluck event with a $5 suggested donation going towards MUCS for use of the space.
The Geek OUT! features:
- A Winter Games (Epyx) mass tournament on a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator projected on a wall! 6-8pm
- Open crafting session with Jim and Ariadne Knits’ Pandora Hobby (http://www.ariadneknits.com/blog/)! Brainstorming for potential collective project. Information for anyone who wants to learn how to knit or crochet. If the weather is nice, look for us outside! 3 - 6 pm
- A DIY workshop with Max D on making your kites - 5pm
- Artist showcase TBA
- In addition to arts and crafts, a whole lot of board games (Illuminati, Talisman, Risk, Cthullu Munchkin etc.)
